Ahmedabad to Diu is a classic coastal break for a lot of people in Gujarat. One day you are in city traffic, and by evening you are near the sea with slower roads and a very different vibe.

The drive is not extremely long, but it is not a quick 2 hour run either. If you plan a couple of proper breaks, it turns into a comfortable one day road trip. In 2 or 3 days you can easily cover the main places, repeat your favorite beach, and still keep a lot of downtime.

• In peak season and long weekends, book your stay in Diu in advance. It fills up quickly.
